Becoming an Diigo Educator

1. Apply for an educator account- Use this link to fill out the application

Be sure to use a school email address and be as specific as possible in regards to information required in the application.
2. Look for a confirmation email once you are approved.

3. Upload a class using the teacher console page which should now appear on your toolbar within diigo.com

4. Create a class group
The first step for using Diigo for a new class is to create a new Diigo group for the class.

5. Click the "Create A Group for My Class" link to create a group for your class:

6. Create Student Accounts and/or add to class group.

If your students don't have emails, use Option #1 after you have created a group to create student accounts by simply entering their names or uploading an entire class roaster at once using this Microsoft Excel document.
Most likely the option you will use with your class.


If you students already have Diigo accounts but aren't part of your classes group, use Option #2 within the Teacher Console and Group Page.

If you want to create a new group with people that already have a diigo account, use Option #3.
